I and My Sexuality
As children, many of us were not adequately protected by our parents and as a result, were sexually traumatized in a variety of ways by perpetrators. In sexual trauma, a splitting of body and feelings takes place. Your own body and your own sexual needs are now seen as threatening and hostile. Anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addictions, physical illnesses (autoimmune diseases, tumours, inflammation, sleep disorders, etc.), blocked or destructive sexuality, etc. are frequent consequences of sexual trauma. With the gradual recovery of one's own "I" and "WILL" and the cautious recollection of the experienced traumatization, it becomes possible to feel at home in one's own body, alive and sensual.
