I and My Sexuality

As children, many of us were not adequately protected by our parents and as a result, were sexually traumatized in a variety of ways by perpetrators. In sexual trauma, a splitting of body and feelings takes place. Your own body and your own sexual needs are now seen as threatening and hostile. Anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addictions, physical illnesses (autoimmune diseases, tumours, inflammation, sleep disorders, etc.), blocked or destructive sexuality, etc. are frequent consequences of sexual trauma. With the gradual recovery of one's own "I" and "WILL" and the cautious recollection of the experienced traumatization, it becomes possible to feel at home in one's own body, alive and sensual.

Ellen Kersten, born 1969, alternative practitioner and trauma therapist since 1995, own practice in Bad Homburg (near Frankfurt). I offer the IoPT in individual work, in open, permanent groups, groups for young adults (up to 30 years) and supervision. Further education in IoPT takes place every year on 8 weekends.
